Commercial Properties have for years made efforts to purchase filters with little regard for performance of particle size efficiency. This has led to Indoor Air Quality compromises in many properties and increased energy or labor costs in others. In several cases air filtration upgrades have been performed by filter suppliers without thought of what effect the change would have on airflow or air handler performance. Numerous systems have been installed knowingly with “bypass” gaps where dirt intrusion is allowed into equipment the filter was supposed to protect. In many cases, outside air units have been restricted, modified, and deteriorated due to the humidity and moisture standard in our region. Commonly "cheaper" priced filters are used due to product failure from moisture related problems.
